Water Recreation Facilities
Crabs are plenty in the Yorke Peninsula, so crabbing is a popular recreation in Black Point where you can catch crabs by heading out to the beach with a cheap tub and a rake and looking for grey mounds which indicates that crabs are residing here.

You will often see the waters dotted with motorboats and catamarans with visitors coming over from the Cruising Yacht Club (CYC) in North Haven in their large motor boats or larger sailboats.
Jet skiing is also another popular water sport here. However, there is a speed limit within 20 to 40 meters of the shore.
The north facing waters of Black Point is also popular for fishing King George whiting, snapper, tommy ruff, salmon trout, garfish and squid including blue swimmer crabs.
There is a dual boat ramp at Black Point which is also a car park and a caravan park with boat ramp facilities.
