Black Point Beachcomber Design Guidelines promote continuation of the style and atmosphere well known and protected at Black Point, where social interaction and a strong sense of community are established. The holiday atmosphere and beachside character played significant roles in forming the development criteria for the guidelines, and ensure that new development maintains and supports this character.
The design and form of buildings should reflect the relaxed lifestyle, while ensuring compatibility with other development, and should utilise design techniques, technologies and products that represent energy and resource efficiency.
The guidelines are in addition to the District Council of Yorke Peninsula Design Guidelines for Black Point in table YoP/1 in the Development Plan, and include guidance for building appearance, garages and ancillary structures, fences, building envelopes and Aboriginal heritage.
Call Nathan Casserly to obtain an information pack that includes a Development Guidelines Overview outlining the aim and objectives of the Guidelines as well as the approval procedure.
